The Body has Miraculous Healing Abilities

Sometimes the answers we seek are really right in front of us, or in this case, inside of us

The top Four things we can utilize to heal our bodies, especially in terms of cellular damage and inflammation, and we need not look any further than within ourselves for them. This means they are free, attainable and very effective. What are they? We will list them here and then break each way down into bite-size, practical, easy to understand and implement in your daily life.

  1. Sleep

Sleep is so vital for proper health and function of the body’s systems. It is during sleep where the body begins to heal itself at the cellular level, cleaning up all of the waste and damage done to it during wake hours. Proper sleep has been linked to a longer life span and a decrease in the onset of diseases like Alzheimer’s.

  • Fasting

Fasting has also been used for centuries and is an excellent way to cleanse the body while repairing cellular damage. This can be done in a number of ways. One can do a complete solid foods fast and just drink water, or one can do a juicing fast. However you choose to do it, it can have amazing health benefits.

  • Deep Breathing

This one is so powerful in terms of healing the body and yet most likely the most underestimated and under-utilized by the majority of people. If we only knew just how powerful proper deep breathing is for healing the body, I believe we would all be doing it on a regular basis. You can do this anywhere at any time. Just take a nice, deep breath in through the nose, hold it for 7 seconds and release slow through the mouth. This simple habit can do a number of miraculous things in the body. First of all it helps to calm and rest the parasympathetic system. This helps as a calming affect and helps to soothe the nervous system, relieving stress on the body. Next, this can improve oxygen levels in the body, feeding every tissue and cell. This is also an effective way to increase nitric oxide which helps to relax blood vessels. It is also a natural anti-viral. Concentrating on our breathing helps to ease the mind. This is why it is the focus of meditation and yoga techniques.

  • Natural Sunlight Exposure

As human beings, we are connected to the earth and the sun. Our bodies need natural sunlight. When the sunlight hits our skin, our bodies create usable vitamin D3 that aids in everything from mental well-being, to digestion, to immune health and cellular health. A healthy lifestyle does not have to be as difficult as some of us make it out to be. By sticking to some of these basic good health principles, we have the power to drastically improve our health and quality of life.
